Inclusive Development and Equitable Assistance Identity
The Inclusive Development and Equitable Assistance (IDEA) activity is dedicated to working with organizations led by and serving marginalized and underrepresented groups. They provide small grants, tools, and resources to build the capacity of these organizations to advance their own development goals and intentionally engage in the international development efforts of USAID and other key stakeholders.
IDEA wanted a new logo that would:
- Differentiate itself from other logos with the same acronym
- Exude boldness, akin to an advocacy campaign
- Be effective in black and white as well as in color
DDG presented five design options, and the IDEA team chose the equal sign concept. The equal sign conveys the idea of balance and fairness. It also embodies the idea that all elements hold equal value and importance, thereby reinforcing the organization’s overarching mission.
Designs also included business cards and website mockups.
