The Data Paths project, funded by the state of Massachusetts, is working to help K–12 schools provide all students, especially those from historically marginalized groups, with opportunities to gain fundamental data literacy skills that are needed in the workforce and in civic life today. The project needed a new logo and identity to support their work.
I created a logo design and identity to achieve the following goals:
- Illustrate the main idea of many pathways that can lead to various careers and skills in data science and data literacy
- Communicate ideas of data, technology, science
- Keep the ideas simple and bold
- Show a range of styles, fonts and colors with different concepts
The style guide also provides color palette, color combinations, font treatments and accessibility guide.
