A Visual Story of Youth Empowerment in the DRC

The photobook was created to commemorate the close out of this USAID project that supported youth with learning, workforce skills, and opportunities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

The book highlighted the powerful photography of a local Congolese youth photojournalist, Esther Nsapu. Her images authentically captured the project’s impact and provided a powerful glimpse into daily life in the DRC. To enhance engagement with the content, I incorporated subtle animations to the online publication. The interactive design and social media promotion helped increase engagement, extending the reach of the project’s story.

In addition to the photobook, I designed a final report that served as a key deliverable to USAID, documenting the project’s outcomes and successes in a structured, visually engaging format.
